How your wedding videographer works
Your wedding filmed by us will be highly edited with select audio from the Ceremony and Speeches to serve as a narrative and paced to some gentle background music where appropriate. Your wedding videographer often works in the background, trying his best to blend in with the guests while the photographer is traditionally the one directing the couples into poses. The videographer will discuss with your photographer his/her plans for the day and will know the best place to stand.
The editing of the video takes a lot of time and concentration. This is factored into the budget. The running time depends on whether you have chosen our highlights or feature option. This can be between 5 minutes and 20 minutes. Often, the highlights trailer is done last as it contains the best of the left over footage.
A complete multi-cam edit of the Ceremony or Speeches is provided, or we can edit all together for 90 minute documentary if preferred.
Guest messages, interviews and testimonials can make for this documentary video.
The files can be downloaded, sent on USB or on DVD / Blu-ray at extra cost. The disc authoring process takes a day to design, build and quality check.
Drone
Aerial filming is included providing that the location and weather permits. We take safety very seriously. Insurance for each of our drones is currently set at £1million, but we can upgrade for the day if needed. The drone usually flies before filming of the morning preparations and sometimes again at dusk.
Aerial coverage of the bride arriving or leaving would be covered by a second professional drone pilot at additional cost. This is because Mark is the main camera operator for the Ceremony.
Dress code
Your videographer will be typically dressed like a guest and try his best to blend in.
Optional extras
Super 8 is real film and can hold approximately 3 minutes of footage on a cartridge. The film needs to be processed over seas and then digitally converted back for editing. This takes 3 months before we can complete editing, but the result is quite different to filters in software and well worth the investment. Super 8 is favoured particularly by couples working in the arts and media or those who appreciate their grandparents' wedding films.
Live-streaming
Filmed with two cameras and mobile internet connection, live-streaming can cover the whole day subject to quotation.
